Full course description
Dining with Diabetes: Beyond the Kitchen is a FREE online course created by OSU Extension Family and Consumer Sciences. This online course goes “beyond the kitchen” to discuss making healthy choices when eating at restaurants, grocery shopping or planning weekly meals.
In this course, you have access to three topic modules: carbohydrates; fats and sodium; and vitamins, minerals, and fiber. You can work through these modules at your own pace. Each module is organized into four parts. The first part will provide background information. Next, new information plus an activity to apply the information is provided. Each module will conclude with some ideas on how to use the information. Throughout the course you will have an opportunity to share ideas and experiences, chat with a health professional, and learn about some helpful websites and mobile apps.
