Course Description

This first asynchronous course in the Farm and Ranch Stress program offered by the Colleges of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences, and Social Work introduces behavioral health professionals to the world of agriculture in Ohio and provides a base knowledge of issues facing farmers and rural Americans which impact access to mental healthcare and help-seeking behavior. Course participants will hear the unique perspectives of professionals in various areas of Ohio State Extension who serve rural populations throughout the state.

To receive a Farm Stress Certified certificate for completing all three courses in the series, you must enroll through the program link: Farm and Ranch Stress Certificate Program. Enrolling in and completing each course individually will generate certificates for individual courses, but not a Farm Stress Certified certificate. The same number of CE clock hours will be earned regardless.
