This for credit, professional course was designed for healthcare providers interested in infant feeding best practices. You must complete this 1-hour program within 7 days. After viewing this course, you can reflect on your learnings to obtain credit.  Dietitians, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, Physicians, Physician Assistants, Pharmacists, and other select healthcare professionals may earn up to 1.0 CME/CE/CPEU credit.

The information presented will help you to:

  1. Identify conditions where specialized infant feedings and child feedings may be required.
  2. Discuss the basics of tracking infant/child growth and development.
  3. Understand why safe preparation, handling, and storage of specialized infant and child feedings are critical and the clinical implications of unsafe feeding practices.
  4. Describe safe methods for preparation, handling, storage, and feeding of specialized infant/child feedings.
  5. List techniques for including solid foods into the feeding regimen as appropriate.
